Dear Living a Value Added Life (VAL) Circle,
Welcome to the very first edition of Living a Value Added Life.
Value Added, according to the Cambridge Dictionary, is the increase in value of a
product or service as it goes through the stages of being developed and produced. In
this case, you are the product or service!
Living a Value Added Life is a publication born from a simple but powerful truth: legacy
isn’t something we leave behind someday — it’s something we’re building every
single day in the seemingly small and big words and actions taken.
We often hear the word 'legacy' and think of something distant, even unreachable,
like a fortune, a name on a building, or a big final act. But the truth is, legacy isn’t just
about what we leave behind when we’re gone. It’s about how we live while we’re here.
It’s found in the small decisions we make, the values we uphold, the people we pour
into, and the quiet moments no one sees. As one of the most respected men I know
once said, you are only becoming what you are already becoming, which means
you’re only growing into what you’ve already begun to be. (Read that again.)
